A rare matrix-free tooth of a Paleozoic holocephalan (ratfish). This specimen was recovered from the Early Carboniferous-age (Serpukhovian Stage) Zaborie Quarry, Moscow region, Russia. Almost 5/16” long. All natural with no repairs or restoration.
